Full Description
June 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
Undated fragmentary linear ditches are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2), on land to the north of Churchfarm Marshes, Kessingland. Medieval finds from nearby (SHER KSS 009) would suggest a possible Medieval date for these features.
It is possible that they represent Medieval field boundaries or enclosures, and that the archaeological features extend further than those that are mapped.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 19th June 2014.
