Full Description
January 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
Possible linear ditches, of uncertain origin, date and function, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred at TM 4831 9759. If they represent genuine archaeological features they are most likely to have been field boundaries, although they have a different orientation to other, more definite field systems recorded in the area, such as SHER LUD 016 to the north and SOL 015 (MSX27299) to the east, and this approximate area appears to be shown as common on the 1652 estate map of Somerleyton (S3).
