Full Description
January 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The cropmarks of boundaries and/or drainage channels of possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). The site is centred on TM 5262 9567. The boundaries ditches are of a sinuous nature and may represent medieval to post medieval (or earlier) boundaries no longer in use, although it is feasible that some relate to drainage works. The main boundary is depicted on the 1652 Estate Map of Somerleyton (S4).
S. Horlock (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 02 January 2014.
