Full Description
Large Rom scatter: finds include flue tile, Nene Valley colourcoat, shell filled ware, oyster shells etc. Cultivated land laid to grass circa 1968, re-ploughed (deep) circa 1977. "Chalk floor" seen. Located by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S1). Probably metal detected finds by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
1962: Sherds of Rom grey ware found in (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) by Colin Pendleton (S2).
2001: Conservation Area (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) pond enlarged revealing large group of Rom pottery and tile (box & roof), possibly from edge of Roman pit (S3).
