Full Description
2012: Evaluation trenching for an Anglian Water Pipeline revealed a single ditch. The ditch was 3.50m wide and 0.66m deep. The main fill of the trench contained animal bone and pottery of Roman date. However a number of pieces of Roman and Post Medieval ceramic building material were recovered. The presence of the later material may suggest it was open for some time. The position and alignment of this ditch strongly suggest that is may be related to the Roman activity located to the west (PKM 005) (S1).
