Full Description

Excavation of two trial trenches took place at The Old Rectory, Risby, in Suffolk. This recorded one ditch, which contained Roman pottery dating to the 2nd-3rd century, as well as environmental residues of crop processing and smithing, indicating nearby Roman occupation. The archaeological levels were well preserved (S1).
