Summary
Evaluation identified a palaeochannel containing a background scatter of Late Neolithic flints and Early Bronze Age pottery and a discrete deposit of burnt flints dating from the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age.

Full Description
Evaluation prior to the construction of a new reservoir and filling basin. No archaeological features were uncovered at the location of the reservoir, but a palaeochannel containing a background scatter of Late Neolithic flints and Early Bronze Age pottery was present. Evidence of post-medieval field boundaries and a modern quarry pit were seen at the location of the filling basin alongside a small, discrete deposit of burnt flints dating from the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age (S1).
