Full Description
2004: Evaluation. Small circular spread of silty sand containing a single fragment of struck flint, interpreted as a small patch of surviving later prehistoric ground surface, located in the vicinity of a Bronze Age urn findspot (IPS 104). In the North West part of the site the evaluation revealed reclamation material overlying river and flood plain deposits relating to the former course of the River Gipping. Two modern ditches were recorded in the SE part of the site (S1).
