Full Description
1997: Site of former cottage at end of North Street (see PMed). Metal detected find of bronze triangular sheet fragment. Sketch in (S1).
December 2000: Evaluation trenching in advnce of woodland planting recovered some mixed period finds & found occasional scattered features (3 pits & a ditch) (2 ditches dated Med) and silt and peat deposits indicating periods of waterlogging and flooding. Also 1 sherd possibly 'IA' pottery and 1 sherd possibly ESax pottery. Details in (S2).
