Full Description
December 1991: fieldwalking assessment of proposed rising sewage main route located scatter (site 4) of Med & PMed pottery, building debris, bone fragments and lava quern fragments along circa 70m length, near road adjacent to two ponds. Med finds listed as:- 2 rim, 7 Med body sherds, 5 Med glazed body sherds, 7 body sherds, LMed/Early PMed type ware, bone fragments (Med?), fragment lava quern. Date range C13/C14 - C16/C17? Almost certainly settlement/house site. Further examination recommended (S1). Also PMed.
