Description
2020: An archaeological evaluation by means of trenching was undertaken at Land off Cherry Tree Close, Yaxley. Eight trenches were excavated; four measuring 15.00m in length and four measuring 5.00m in length and all to a width of 1.80m. The trenches revealed a shallow layer of 0.20-0.25m of topsoil overlying subsoil present to a depth of 0.20-0.35m and were excavated to a depth of 0.40-0.60m to natural glaciofluvial deposits. (S1)
