Site Event/Activity record ESF22589 - Watching Brief,B&Q Warehouse, Ransomes Retail Park, Ipswich, (IAS 9138).

Monitoring results: various site visits were made as mid 20th century factory structures and associated concrete surfaces were removed, however it soon became apparent that virtually the whole site has already been truncated to a depth of c1.0m. Therefore the chance of any archaeological features surviving in this area of former heath land where shallow prehistoric deposits might be expected is very low and the visits were stopped once the main demolition/clearance work had been finished.
