PROJECT DETAILS An archaeological evaluation by trial trenching was undertaken on land to the rear of Hartest Primary School in advance of a proposed development of arable land into a new playing field. Three trenches were excavated in a standard pattern in order to investigate the area involved but no archaeologically relevant artefacts or deposits were located. No further archaeological work is recommended as being necessary in advance of this development.
