Description
A single trench evaluation carried out at 101-103 Ipswich Street, Stowmarket discovered no artefacts or deposits of archaeological relevance. The site appears to have been totally truncated in the recent past, with rubble hardcore lying above a very thin deposit of modern made ground, itself directly sealing natural soft sands.
