A small trial trench evaluation was recommended following a Planning Application for the construction of 8 dwellings on land at the edge of the former Ringshall Green. Five small trenches revealed a common stratigraphy of topsoil over boulder clay. No archaeological finds or features were recorded. Given the small size of the evaluation trenches further monitoring of the strip foundations was recommended.
