Description
An archaeological trial trench evaluation was carried out in advance of a proposed residential development of the site. The work is the third of five phases of evaluation trenching over the Hundred Acres site and was located within the southern sector. The evaluation consisted of 48 trenches that measured 40m by 1.8m. This represented a 5% sample of the proposed development area. No features of archaeological interest were identified although sparse prehistoric flint was recovered from the topsoil towards the southern end of the site (S1).
